2008 Summer Drama Camps!

Students may sign up for as many camps as they like within their age group. Each student pays $120, and each additional camp for the student or a sibling costs $100.

Each camp runs from 10am-4pm. Bring a lunch and some sunscreen!

Registration is June 21 at the Southend Community Centre from 10am-4pm.

June 30 - July 4: Directing for the Stage (ages 15-18)
Introduction to the art of directing a play.
Instructor: Brian Gallivan

July 7-11: Improv (ages 11-14)
Fun, fun, fun!
Instructor: Brian Gallivan

July 14-18: Creating a Character (ages 14-18)
In-depth acting technique.
Instructor: Brian Gallivan

July 21-25: Playbuilding (ages 13-16)
The class writes and performs a play.
Instructor: Erin Gillis

July 28 - August 1: Creative Dramatics (ages 7-10)
The class creates a show.
Instructor: Erin Gillis

2007-2008 Festival!

The Festival begins on Sunday, April 6 at the Boardmore Playhouse, CBU. Each night starts at 7pm and is $5, except for the final day, which starts at 2pm and is free. All students will receive a Festival Pass that allows them to attend the whole week for free (and are encouraged to do so!). Bring all of your family and friends!

March Break

Just a reminder that all drama classes (excluding Musical Theatre) are still happening during March Break. We realize that some students will be out of the area, but we hope to see the rest at rehearsal. Enjoy the break, everyone! :)

First Semester Performance & Second Semester Registration

Our first semester has come to an end, but we're going to have one last hurrah before the holidays:

Class Acts Drama School First Semester Performance
Thursday, December 13 ~ 6pm - 8pm
Southend Community Centre
Free Admission ~ Donations Gladly Accepted

Each class will give a short demonstration of the theatre skills they've learned during the first semester, with refreshments to follow. All family and friends are welcome to attend!

Registration for the next semester will be at Southend Community Centre on Saturday, January 5 from 10am to 4pm. If you wish to pre-register, call Brian or Marilyn at 564-6310.

Dear Students,
I just wish to express my deep admiration for your passion for the dramatic arts. You make CADS the most unique and awesome drama experience by each bringing your talent, trust, and truth to the classroom. I and each of our teachers are so blessed to share our space with you! Bob and Ursula simply can't stop miming about you. Watching you grow as artists is such a joy. Well done one and all.
